In this blog I want to answer two of the question I have been asked most frequently since being home from the race.

  1. What is the weirdest thing you ate?
  2.  What’s next?

Well, I didn’t eat too many weird things but the top three would be fried caterpillars in Zambia, duck feet in Laos, and crocodile burgers in Cambodia.

The worst was for sure the crocodile burgers, right team Nitty Gritty?

It tasted like body odor smells. Just take my word for it.

So what is next?

Before I share what exactly I will be doing next, I want to share part of my dream.

I want to help create a coffee shop that works to provide jobs to women as an alternative to prostitution and working in bars. I want it to be a place where people walk in and experience the Father’s love.

I learned so much on the race about who I am as a daughter of the King, and what it means to really experience His unconditional love and I want to share that with others.

I recently found out that Adventures in Missions is partnering with Wipe Every Tear to do exactly this in the Philippines. I have spent several weeks praying about this opportunity and believe this is where the Lord is leading me next. I am praying about moving to the Philippines for two years next summer to come alongside Wipe Every Tear and the work they are already doing there.

In preparation for moving to the Philippines I will be attending Center for Global Action. Center for Global Action (CGA) is a program run by Adventures in Missions and is intended to be a place where world race alum are able to continue to solidify the things the Lord taught them on the race while being equipped for their calling. The three main focuses of CGA are community, discipleship, and apprenticeship. They offer several different tracts of study; I will be doing the missions tract starting in September.  I hope to gain knowledge and wisdom that will help me to thrive in the Philippines and prepare me for all that God is calling me to.

Just like the world race, I have to fundraise for CGA and the Philippines.

I need to raise a total of $3,950 to attend CGA. My first deadline is September 11, the day I move to Gainesville, GA.

If you would like to help and support me in this, just click the “support me” tab or message me for more details.

I would love to share more my dream and plans with you, so feel free to ask all the questions.
