It has been one month since I made the move to Gainesville, Georgia, although I feel like it has been much longer.

This place has already been such a blessing to me.

The community is wonderful. There is fall weather. The courses are challenging and encouraging. I am learning more about myself and the way God created me. I actually look forward to Monday mornings, which are spent worshipping God together. My house has regular game nights (Settlers of Catan is becoming our go-to) and movie nights. We had a bonfire on the lake, complete with s’mores and banjos. Our house takes turns cooking dinner for each other and sharing a meal together once a week. Lake Lanier is right in the middle of Gainesville and so to go pretty much anywhere you have to cross over it, and it is a gorgeous sight. They took us all out to the ol’ ball game and we got to see the Braves in action. And there is a great little coffee shop with some very tasty dirty chais.

These are my housemates (minus Bill’s wife, Katie, and their son Max). We are obviously very excited for the Braves game.

These have been a few of my favorite things about Gainesville.

My next support deadline is this Friday, October 11, and I am still in need of $247 to meet this goal. If you would like to support me, you can use the “support me” link at the top of the page or message me for details on how to mail in a check!

Thank you all so much for your support – it really does mean the world to me!
